Vietnam Veterans Outraged Over Navy Christening Of USS Jane Fonda

Updated: July 3, 2012

From our friends at The Duffel Blog

Washington, DC – Both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars issued a joint statement today condemning the U.S. Navy over the launch of its newest warship, the USS Jane Fonda.

“Without getting into Jane Fonda’s activities during the Vietnam War, we feel that it is highly inappropriate to name a warship after an actress with no ties to the military,” said James Mitchell, a spokesman for both groups.

The ship’s name, which had been kept under wraps until right before the launch, was revealed yesterday at a star-studded event presided over by Ms. Fonda.

Ms. Fonda made a statement prior to the launch, saying, “I dedicate this ship to the brave men who fought and died in Vietnam, especially those in the 66th Viet Cong Regiment.”

The actress is extremely unpopular among some military groups for her activities during the Vietnam War, such as posing for propaganda pictures with North Vietnamese soldiers, referring to American prisoners of war as “hypocrites and liars”, and more recently cutting the line at a Target in front of a guy wearing an American flag t-shirt.

American warships, traditionally named after states, cities, and posthumous military heroes, have increasingly been named after living figures ever since 1998, when the Republican-controlled Congress named 18 warships in a row after former President Ronald Reagan.

What? You have got to be kidding me!! The USS Jane Fonda! That B I T C H !!!! That’s because we have that anti-American muslin in office, also. Who in their right mind put that bitches name on a boat??? And, to say especially that gook regiment!! And, I get to say gook because I fought those bastards in Nam (67-68). The best thing that they can do is scuttle that boat or shove it up Fonda’s butt!!

We are doomed as a nation when our country’s leaders let this traitor be honored by naming a ship after her. What can we do? Are our Military leaders so weak kneed that they allow this? This woman should have been hung as a traitor and a liar. God help us

Guys, this is a joke. From the Duffel Blog web site: “The content of this site is parody. No composition should be regarded as truthful, and no reference of an individual, company, or military unit seeks to inflict malice or emotional harm.”

Rick, I don’t know where you got your info….but the gentleman that was overtheir at that time when Jane Fonda was there. He told everyone that she was handed small pieces of paper from some of the men to tell her how they are treated. She took those papers and gave them too the main guy in charge. When she had left, they came to all the men that had given her the papers and beat them & put them in insolation. I seen this from the man that was there. He was on one of the talk shows (I don’t recall which one)it’s been about a yr. now. Tell me why would the Vets that was over in that Hell hole lie about this, just say’n…

Hey guys, I love reading the Duffle Blog. But, when a story from it is presented on The RhinoDen like it is real news, that throws some people off…like me. If there was a disclaimer or a big-ass notification that it is from TDB, maybe that would help. But, currently, the way things are extracted and posted, it kind of makes me question everything else on The RhinoDen. I’m pretty sure that was never the intent, but that is a result.

Are you kidding me? This is pure shit. Our Stolen Valor Act is rejected by the Supreme Court, the Medal of Freedom is going to be given to Hanoi Jane, & now they name a boat after the bitch. Jane Fonda is a traitor to our country, & she should be shot. I will volunteer for the firing squad. As the person who sang at the dedications of The Wall, the Three Fighting Men statue, the Vietnam Womens Memorial, & the Korean Memorial, I think I have more than a right to express my displeasure. I just can’t believe that we have so little respect for those who gave their lives, & those who are fighting for us now, including my son. The punishment for treason is death. I suggest that we carry out the sentence.

I don’t even read the articles anymore. Just straight to the comment section for me. Do you think the reason why our country is having problems is because people are too fucking lazy to read passed the headline?

Well because so many people missed the obvious headline at the top I’m going to DEMAND that the Rhino Den put the disclaimer in between in each paragraph and pay an exorbitant fine and say they’re sorry! If my demands aren’t met I’ll have this site taken down by the FCC! 😛
