I have one thing to ask about. A bullpup? Really?

All right guys… I’ve been in 16+ years, two deployments, and have had my own experiences as a chick in the military. I’ve been a big supporter of integrating chicks into any part of the military pretty much all my career. But y’all have actually made me start to change my mind with this video. I think you hit on one of the key points though, by continually reiterating that we all have valuable roles to play, even though I’ll never be as strong as a dude, as much as I wish I could do it. Thanks so much for the well thought out dialogue. I wish all the Infantry dudes thought like you guys, for sure. All I want to do – all I’ve ever wanted to do – is do my job, and do it well. A lot of the Infantry dudes I know and love are coming around to that way of thought at least, although for most of them it’s taken getting into units that did have both genders to have them realize we’re not all whiny pieces of shit who cry and don’t do our jobs every time we’re on our period…
Also, my job happens to be supply/logistics… please let me see more of Supply Mole. I’m going to lead off with “SUPPLIES” at the next Command and Staff when it’s my turn to brief…
Anyway, thanks a lot for this. And I love Rhino. Haha.

Dude- from what moronic douche-bag colony are you from? Jonnie agrees that females shouldn’t be in the infantry. It’s fucktards like you that drive command to come up with these absurd policies in the first place.

Wow, thanks for the intelligent and well reasoned response. I really enjoy debate with an articulate and intelligent person.
Oh wait, you’re clearly a moronic douchebag, as Doc K so kindly pointed out. I pray that Darwin takes care of you before you reproduce.

Hey Fuck……..relax. Try decaf moron.
I’m supply mole for an Infantry Company. I agree females shouldn’t be sent out as front line door kickers……but you need to tone down the mysogyny. There are lots of females that can work with the infantry guys and do thier jobs well. No need to be a dick.

love the episode could not agree more as an old school nco. I have seen outstanding female troops accomplish there mission and I have been proud to have them as members of my team, unfortunately as a combat mos is has been few and far between. serving as a drill sergeant will teach you a lot about army policy and reality, being “professional” and getting the job done. God help our pc society and the infantry if we get mixed up in a ground war like Stalingrad or berlin,

I agree completely. Coming out of high school at 5’6” and 103lbs I was the epitome of the smaller weaker guy. Fuckers rode me like a Shetland pony, but two years later I was strong enough and tough enough to do my job. Sucked while it was going on but there was a reason for it and there is no way that folks would be able to push a female soldier that hard without a harassment complaint.
If women want to be in the infantry they still need to be in an all female unit. Back in ’97 I met one of those one in a million females that could not only hang but excel… @ 6’2” 200lbs of muscle with the bone structure of a man. unfortunately she was discharged because she refused to fuck her SGT and he spread rumors about her being a homo. no evidence but the SGT had pull with the CO and she was out.
she deserved better… but better is in an all female unit where they could police their own. Like it or not (believe me, I like it)there are differences between men and women. respect it and move on.

Thanks, guys, for articulating the issue so well. I get asked all the time if I think women should be in the infantry or direct combat roles in traditionally all-male units, and I say “hell no”, but can’t quite seem to get the rationale across as well as you have. People look at me, shocked, ’cause I’m a pretty tough cookie myself. I think that if you’re in the military, or have been, you understand, but if the person hasn’t, it’s really hard to convince them. Next time someone asks, I’m gonna point them to this video. For my part, I had a role in the action, I did a good job and was proud of the job I did. Serving my country in that way was more than enough for me. I had the trust and respect of my fellow soldiers because I was in a job that I could and did excel at.
P.S. Loved the ST theme! Perfect choice.
P.P.S. And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, “GI” stands for General Issue, so don’t go thinking I’m hypocritically giving myself a screen name that means I support women in combat roles (a la GI Jane).
