Ahh, Colbert. It is amazing how easy it is for comedians to say things that need to be said, but real news readers never can.
At any rate, I saw the 2 hour premiere, and it was every bit the Hollywood overhype faked live fire I thought it would be, I mean does anyone believe that NBC and the actors’ agents could get the insurance coverage for these pampered twits to, I don’t know, go on “real missions” with “real ammunition”? I am torn whether to watch the rest of it.
On the one hand, I don’t want to add to the ratings of another overhyped tv “reality” show.
On the other, it IS amusing, but more so, these nitwits are playing with real money to support real charities. Some of those charities I support, albiet with a lot less $. I think I can watch these people stumble around, pretend to low crawl and shoot rifles, just to make sure all that cash goes to something more worthwhile than their bank accounts…

Did you see Grady Powell’s reaction when he saw he was teamed up with Eve Torres? It was worth watching. He had “Yeah, buddy!!!” written all over his face.

Rod – I would’ve PAID to be Eve Torres’ teammate! I don’t blame him at all for having one helluva grin on his face.
In regards to the rest of the show… I watched it from DVR. Can’t say I was overly impressed with the “live fire” action. Maybe they’ll get better… I’m just glad that the money is going to good causes, even if they get “dismissed.”
And come the f*ck on… if you’re going to be on a nationally televised show, don’t you think it would behoove you to use some personal motivation and learn how to swim efficiently while you’re weighted down with gear… let alone SWIM in the first place?!?! WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK?!
