The only thing we can do to prevent it is to start working together as a team. When was the last time you checked in on your battle-buddies? -RU Rob

Oddly enough my Battle and I still speak at least once a week even though we are living on opposite coasts of the US. He is in NY and Im in Cali. He and I have both been on the other end of the horn when our battle has been thinkin of droppin the hammer and dusting ourselves. He will be, is now, and has been for a very long time a lifeline of support that doesnt rival the VA.. He and I outgun the VA when it comes to taking care of each other. Then again, why should that support and BROTHERHOOD end just because were no longer in uniform or overseas. Sure, we cant see each other everyday or hang out on weekends, but we call each other frequently. Always a Battle Buddy til the day I die.
PS: Yo Cajun… if you ever see this you’ll know I miss your crazy ass. Damn redneck hillbilly! Love you Brother, OUT!

Sorry to hear of another loss, Rob!
Boone Cutler and Soldier Harder have made suicide prevention a personal goal for our fellow Vets. It wouldn’t hurt teaming with Boone to set up or consolidate a referral point for those needing help.
I’ve seen Boone take off late at night to help a Vet in trouble, that lived or was close to where he is at.
