The Omen wins in Oklahoma

Congratulations to Staff Sergeant Damien “The Omen” Stelly who won a unanimous decision over a very tough Alex Andrade at Bellator Fighting Championships 3 in Lawton, Oklahoma Friday night. Stelly dominated Andrade from the beginning, slamming him to the mat repeatedly and passing his guard. Stelly nearly ended the fight at the end of the first round with a rear naked choke, but time ran out. At one point the frustrated Andrade was docked a point for grabbing the cage as Stelly was slamming him to the mat. Andrade battled back at the beginning of the third round, but Ranger Stelly was just too much for him and won a unanimous decision. Stelly moves on to the second round of the Bellator middleweight tournament.

Staff Sergeant Stelly is an instructor at the Modern Army Combatives Program (MACP) at Fort Benning, Georgia and now has a professional record of 11-2.
