Meet Street

Ever wondered exactly how Ranger Up is able to deliver your order a couple days after placing it while simultaneously dealing with the numerous interviews, video production and general ass-hattery that takes place at RUHQ?

As part of our on-going series “Meet the Staff”, we would like to introduce Amanda Street, or “Street” as she is affectionately known. Street is the Wholesale Manager and makes sure that the few, select, companies who do stock RU gear have what they need to keep you , the fan, happy.

Originally from West “By God” Virginia, Street donned her first pair of footwear at the age of 14 and even then it wasn’t a pair of $.99 cent flip flops but a pair of cleats. Given the lack of anything entertaining to do in the entire state of West Virginia, Street learned at an early age the importance, and necessity, of sports and mastered everything she tried.

Upon graduation from high school, Street did what every W. Virginian dreams of doing and left the mountains for civilization. Her mad basketball skillz were good enough to attend college on a scholarship and she continued her trek of conquering every sport known to man-kind. Once she received her bachelor’s degree, her thirst for knowledge continued and she achieved her master’s degree in nutrition. So it basically boils down to this; Street will play against you in the sport of your choice, absolutely kill you in said sport, then mock your eating habits as being the reason she was able to lay the smack down on your candy ass!

Currently, any given Saturday you can find Street as the starting Fullback for the RRFC Venom rugby team, where she is in command of the back line. Street is usually either waiting to zero in on an unsuspecting opponent for a violent hit or to speed to the outside and score that try. Either way, not only are you playing against her physical skill-set but her vast knowledge of the game, which is apparent as she coaches her team-mates while she plays. Recently, just for shits and giggles, Street played rugby on Saturday, got hammered on Saturday night then competed in a triathlon on Sunday, all with a broken foot. How’s that for RTFU?

When she is not on a playing field of some sort, Street can be literally seen speeding back and forth to Ranger Up in her Ford Fiesta, complete with bike rack, wake board rack and torture rack, and was recently clocked at a cruising speed of a whopping 94mph. While having an affinity to whooping Tommy’s ass in an alcohol induced stupor, according to Street, the only thing she truly fears in life is being used as a prop in a Ranger Up video.

The work environment at Ranger Up allows her to excel in her professional life. As the Wholesale Manger, Street not only faces the wrath of Nick and Tommy on a daily basis, but the wrath of the vendors who sell the Ranger Up merchandise. Her calm, friendly demeanor allows her to keep everyone happy while simultaneously juggling 30 different projects. Her close knit relationship with Fletcher, the Operations Manager, allows her to assist in other areas of work when needed. When asked what it is like working with so many strong individuals that make the Ranger Up team she simply replied “We are a freaking machine.”

Street is one of the people responsible for the recent addition of American Sin Bin to the Ranger Up repertoire. Her love for the sport of rugby and desire to advance it within the United States is one of the reasons she has been bugging the hell out of Nick for the last year. She is extremely proud to be directly involved in the first American rugby apparel company and isn’t shy about sharing her long term plans which include only one thing, success.

If you do the whole tweeter-box thing you can follow Street @streetam. If you don’t, no worries, you will be seeing more of her in the future.
