<description>I&#039;m a Veteran of the Air Force, separated 2003 and i also have exhausted all of my GI BILL. When the Post 9/11 GI BILL came out, I knew I would get something since I was in for 2yrs after 9/11, so I applied and got confirmation back.

I was awarded the Post 9/11 GI BILL for 10 months at 70% of the award monies, because of the way they calculated it. This is a much better deal, because with the old GI BILL all I would receive was a monthly check (no more than $1400 at the end) and that money would be send direct deposit so I would be able to do whatever I wanted with that money.

However, the Post 9/11 GI BILL I will be receiving gives me the money for tuition which will come out to about $8400 for the semester sent to the school, PLUS a BAH check sent to me which comes out to $1600 a Month (I&#039;m in NY) and on top of that i receive a Check possibly up to $1000 a yr.

FOLKS take it from me, THE POST 9/11 GI BILL is a ton better, USE IT, BE THANKFUL FOR IT, because I&#039;m now set to begin working on my Master&#039;s degree.
