Douche of the Week: Rep. Neugebauer

Before I start into a tirade, there are some things you need to know.

1. In my opinion, closing open-air monuments or any National Park that does not have a doorway is asinine.  Most of these monuments are not manned and even if they were the majority of the Park Rangers are considered exempt from furlough and have to be at work anyway.

2. If any member of Congress is seen outside of his/her office or the chamber floor they should be considered AWOL and docked pay accordingly.  We are in a National crisis and they should be locked-in like they lost a pair of night vision goggles.

3. You can make up your own #3.  I want to get started….

Congress sucks.

Never in my life have I witnessed such fucktardedness by a bunch of pompous children.  The events of the last week have proven that our so called “National Leadership” needs a complete and total overhaul. One party blames the other…blah…blah…blah. Add to it the political grandstanding by these sucktastic douchenuggets and you have an epic Spanish Novela full of wrinkly old bags as they try their best one-upmanship against each other.

Case in point, Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) decided that he was going to go to the WWII Memorial on the Mall in DC.  What the fuck he was doing there instead of in his office or on the chamber floor working to solve our current budget crisis I have not a clue.  But he was there and acted like a complete ass-hat.

As you will see in the video below, Neugebauer had the audacity to verbally assault a female Park Ranger from the National Park Service. Big, bad-ass bully Neugebauer goes after the lowest woman on the totem pole, the on-site Park Ranger. I recall the Army’s unwritten 4th General Order, “I will guard my post from flank to flank and take no shit from any rank.” That Park Ranger is doing her job, period. I would like to personally congratulate her for maintaining her composure because I would have told him to quit his fucking bitching and take his sorry ass back to work to resolve this mess.

This is a douchegasm on the highest order. I wish I could say more, but his grandstanding speaks for itself.

What was he thinking? was he trying to impress someone? Want to impress someone, mainly the people who elected you to your job, then get back to doing your job. We the people, (pretty sure there’s a pretty famous document that starts with those words) are even more frustrated with what’s happening today. We can’t get our shit in order, but yet, I can go yell at a Park Ranger for doing her job. How much of a douchewaffle do you have to be to take time from your job which is to try and fix this shit hole situation we’re in to go and yell at someone doing her job.–End rant

You got it all wrong. Did you research the story and watch the video or did you just watch the video and jump to conclusions. I was pissed when I first saw it but then looked up the context of the story and my direction changed. Yes, I agree he should not have taken his frustration out on her but he was pissed that veterans were being kept out. Read this article

I am fully aware of the entire situation. Doesn’t change the fact that he tried to bully the lowest woman on the totem pole. Hat tip to bicycle helmet wearing guy!

Wow, a tea douche actually made the douche of the week. I’m impressed, actually suprised that Harry Reid or Barrack O’bama wasn’t made the douche of the week for forcing Nerdberger down there to have a meltdown over the government shutdown that his party absolutely in no way possible wanted.

This congressman, who went to the park has been doing his job like the rest of Congress the last two weeks. He decided to see why all of the sudden there is fencing and guards standing a post at the WWII memorial. I would expect the same from my congressman. As for your unwritten general order,“I will guard my post from flank to flank and take no shit from any rank.” I didn’t know any general order, much less the oh so important “unwritten types” applied to park police. The actual FACT of the matter is, despite a government shutdown, the park police were sent by the White House’s office of management & budget to prevent WWII vets from seeing their monument, that has never had a guarded entrance. That’s shameful! Now that you know the facts, pick a side. I for one am on the side of those opposed to Obama trying to make a point, at the expense of the men who kept us from speaking German. I am also on the side of our Congress, which is the last branch of government standing in the way of all out tyranny. Sure things are going to get really uncomfortable, but we’ve all had our share or cold mre’s and sandpaper that passes for shit tickets! Quit your bitching about a post that never existed until Obama.

      Rob91,

By your logic, we should be mad at the President and Congressmen should be mad at…a park ranger?

Even if what you are stating is true–that the park rangers were sent there on behalf of the White House–how on earth does that make it okay for Rep. Neugebauer to publicly scold someone doing their job? In other words, how does it make it okay for him not to be doing his job while she does hers?

Again, if what you are stating is true, he’s still in the wrong. Take it up with the Office of Management and Budget; not a park ranger. No, I don’t want to see my Representative berating someone when it doesn’t matter. I want to see them doing things that do matter.

Kudos to the vet at the end of the video that got right up on him and defended the Park Ranger. What kind of self-loving, egotistical jackass do you have to be to stand there and say, oh you’re out of work because of Reid and Obama? (Answer: Aforementioned douche). Granted, I personally dislike both Reid and Obama, but this clown is just as guilty of the budgets not being passed as every other asshat responsible for this shutdown.

He is a douche because of how he acted. Not because of WHY he was there. I get why he went down there, and I am grateful that he cared, but he should have done something meaningful instead of be an asshat to the park ranger. My great uncle was on one of the honor flights that got turned away, and my grandad who passed at Christmas, and my other great uncle who passed a month ago, were supposed to be there with him. I live in Neug-a-douchers district, and I am no fan of his. But the reason he made douche of the week is for acting like a dick, when he could have focused his energy on something that might fix the FUBARed situation. Just my 2 cents worth.

He was wrong for personally chastising her and owes her an apology. It was not her fault she was a pawn in a bigger game and being used to make a political point. She was simply following the orders of the douchnozzles above her.

To all those saying she was just doing her job. I myself struggle with this one at my job where it is my job to enforce rules but the head bosses are are exempt from the rules it seems. So I do my job to the best of my abilities and don’t enforce anything that is not enforced equally. So her just doing her job will not fly with me and for all the vets on here you know just following orders should not fly with you. Now if you want to call the congressmen a douche for not being at work to fix this problem then fine if not I think you got this one wrong.

The rangerette is also an unprofessional douche. In cordon duty you don’t talk back. You take whatever is thrown at it you and leave it at that.

But no, the wannabe police girl had to talk back, probably thinking she was witty and smart.

During this shutdown plenty of “rangers” and even police officers have shown that they shouldn’t be wearing the uniform.

If I was her direct supervisor she’d be doing desk duty for a couple of weeks.

To say her reasoning of “Just doing my job” is unacceptable is a gross misrepresentation of the facts. As a vet, I grant you it is not our job to accept orders blindly, but we also must weigh options carefully before going against stated orders. Furthermore, you as a civilian have the option to go against any order you wish. You know what you get for that? An indefinite amount of time of work; unpaid of course.
Now for the Congressman. I fully agree with the point the whole of Congress should be on lockdown until this is solved. Now while I understand that Congress is still being paid( thanks to the 27th Amendment Congressional pay can not be altered during a current term) any one who thinks this is anything more than an act to garner support for himself as “standing up to the power” is oblivious to political maneuverings. He got his sound bite in on a worker enforcing policy. “Parks Service should be ashamed of themselves.” I am quite positive the decision wasn’t made by Parks Services, and if it was, the person responsible for making the call would not be manning the wall. This goes to show, there is a difference between a Texan, and people from Texas. ‘He’ should be ashamed.

First let me thank you for your sacrifice you made to this country and your fellow Americans.

To say her reasoning of “Just doing my job” is unacceptable is a gross misrepresentation of the facts.

How so? That I expect my fellow man to do the right thing?

As a vet, I grant you it is not our job to accept orders blindly, but we also must weigh options carefully before going against stated orders.

Unless the great man that raised me is wrong it is your duty to not follow illegal orders. I don’t recall him ever saying anything about weighing the consequences of not following those orders. I will also point out that the military is not the only ones that take oaths that have consequences so don’t be so quick to dismiss ” civilians”. But in my mind your comment about just being fired proves my point that is all that would happen to her.

Finally I agree that more then likely this was all done so that he can say look I stood up to the man. But having said that as I pointed out he is not wrong in my opinion for calling her out and maybe making her think about the morality of her actions.

Finally what should a true Texan have done here?

You can just ramp up your outrage for the fuck-in-chief who “closed” an unmanned, open-air memorial to the very people who fought for the fuck’s freedoms in the first place. And as far as all the Brown Shirts who are “just doing their jobs,” fuck them, too. Government employees seem to be perfectly willing to become the modern Gestapo.

While I agree the congressman was out of line, what many don’t know is that a group of congressman were scheduled to be there months before the shutdown to meet the Honor Flights THAT DAY. What I want to know is why all the illegals were allowed to hold a rally on the mall for rights that don’t deserve nor have earned AND why on this day vets were denied the CIC paid money out of his own pocket to keep the muslim heritage museum open but told the DC mayor he couldn’t use city money to keep vet memorials open!!!!

Just wanted to share a side I didn’t think of until I spoke with a former park ranger/vet who I work with. He explained that there is an unbelievable amount of trash that is created by all of the tourist that visit these monuments and parks and that with the people responsible for clean up being furloughed, it quickly starts to look like a landfill. He also brought up a good point that we get carried away when we think of vets being kept out of the very memorials dedicated to their fallen brothers and sisters and forget that we fought and continue to fight for equality. If you get right down to it we shouldn’t be saying that one person has more of a right than another to visit a park or monument. Not saying I agree with shutting down these sites but it made some sense to me.

Who makes the budgetary decisions to properly fund our federal government? Congress. If Congress fails to carry out their job, poor children on WIC don’t get milk, cheese, and essential groceries. Cancer patients don’t get treatments. Federal employees don’t get paid to run basic services that bring IN money to our government to help run. Lastly, monuments get closed.

Of those. Where are our priorities? Volunteer at hospitals talking to the dying? Not done. Show up to an elementary school in rural Kentucky and explain why Billy has to go without breakfast?

Pose with Michelle Bachmann for pictures with medal clad vets with deep pockets? The person who should be shamed is Rep. Randy Neugebauer.

I agree with several of the comments above. I don’t feel a bit bad for the park ranger. Yes she was just following orders, but her orders were to deny WWII vets access to an open air memorial that is near maintenance free, while a few days later granting access to illegal aliens to protest on nearly the same spot. Frankly, I don’t feel bad for the TSA agent who was smoked a few weeks ago in LA. I don’t advocate violence, but if your job entails wiping your ass with the US Constitution on a daily basis, maybe you should look for a different job.
