9 Really Bad Military Stock Photos

Updated: October 8, 2014

By RU Rob

Over the last couple of years, finding photos for our stories has become increasingly hard.  We started using an image service to provide us with all of the images we use here and with the memes on our Facebook page.

The problem is that most of the images found are so ridiculously phony they cannot be used by a viable military related site.  Over the years I have had quite the chuckle at some of the worst ones and have decided to share them with you.  Here we go…9 incredibly wrong military stock photos:

1. I am just going to remain silent on this one…

2. Why is it that every time I look for a female soldier I get this?

3. Or this… Wait, is this really bad?

4. Let’s all take our kid to work…

5. How about a little goatee action? He must be Delta.

6.Pretty sure this is impossible…

7. The personal armory…

8. Random guy standing in field…

9. Lastly, a Hard-Corps family… See what I did there?

Still trying to figure out why #3 is bad. Y’all have been working way too hard and should take a break.

Pretty sure there is a joke in #3 about a hot chick with a hard PRC….
    Just sayin’…

It’s not going to get you a better class of photo’s, but if you click on the cog icon in Google image search and select ‘Advanced Search’ you have a usage rights drop down at the bottom that lets you select images that are ‘free to use or share, even commercially’.

Problem with #3 is that chances are she’s been rode hard and put away wet by about 17 other guys in your battalion. Jokes on you man, you should have taken that STD clinic’s hotline number down.
